Emil Svensk had his real international breakthrough at the first World Cup round of 2017 where he finished 3rd in both the sprint and the long distance chasing start. He already showed his class in 2016 with a 10th place at WOC Sprint on home ground in Strömstad, Sweden - and followed up with a 6th place in the Sprint at the World Cup final in the autumn of 2016. On of the medal candidates for any Sprint championship - if he manages to qualify for the very strong Swedish team.
