Info/BiographyVery strong junior - winning the middle distance at JWOC in 2010 - and also taking several medals at JWOC 2011 in Poland behind the impossible Danes. Many strong races in the senior class as a junior in 2011 - winning O-ringen in the elite class and also qualifying for the World Championships.

Info/BiographyStrong middle distance runner, with a breakthrough in WOC 2005 in Japan with a 4th place. Impressed at EOC 2006 when he held Thierry Gueorgiou behind him and went solo on the last leg in the relay. Junior World champion in ski-orienteering 2001. Has been struggling with injury the last couple of seasons and withdrew from the WOC-team 2008 five days before the event. In 2009 he took a NOC-relay gold with Sweden, and continued to show great results at the middle distance with a 6th spot at both WOC and the middle distance World Cup race in Oslo in June. Only achieved a 12th place at the World Champs in Trondheim in 2010 - and has had injury problems in 2011.

Info/BiographyVery good start of the 2011 season - winning the overall Nordic Orienteering Tour 2011, and winning with big margin in the Swedish WOC test races in France. One of the big gold favourites at WOC in France if she has kept her spring shape. Got her big international breakthrough with the bronze medal at the World Champs in Czech Republic in 2008. Struggled more in 2009, but back in the top with a second spot overall in the first edition of the Nordic Orienteering Tour in 2010. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of the year in 2008 for her breakthrough in 2008 with her first medal in the World Champs with Bronze medal on the Long distance. Had a big disappointment in Venla 2007 when she was leading on the last leg for OK Linné, only to be taken off the course because the team was disqualified on an earlier leg. Started orienteering in Järfälla OK. Educated as a phyisotherapist

Info/BiographyTook a strong bronze medal in WOC 2010 in Trondheim after taking a break to get a child. Also started 2011 strongly by taking the 4th place overall in the Nordic Orienteering Tour. Has been a part of the world elite since winning a World Cup race in 2000. Physically very strong and has her best results from long distance and sprint. Works as a chemical engineer. Many times Swedish champion. Former Emma Engstrand.

Info/BiographyStrong runner, especially on sprint and middle. Has performer very well in the Nordic Orienteering Tour - finishing 5th overall in 2010 and 3rd in 2011. Bronze medal from the sprint of WOC 2007. Started very well in 2008, then she suffered a "subarachniodal haemorrhage", injury to her brain. She could not compete in EOC and also missed WOC. Back in the absolute top at the European Champs in Bulgaria in 2010, where she took the bronze medal at middle and was in the Swedish relay team which took the gold medal. Silver medal from JWOC ski-o 2001. English/Swedish study at the university and works as a teacher for orienteering and skiing.

Info/BiographyYoung Swede who made her national team debut in EOC 2008 with a 7th place on the sprint. That was enough to give her a chance in WOC as well, where she finished 15th. Bronze medalist on the Middle distance at World Games 2009 her major break-thru, which she continued with a great silver medal at the sprint in WOC 2009 in Hungary. She topped the sprint silver medal with a 5th spot on long, showing that she is not only a sprinter. Won the first stage of the Nordic Orienteering Tour in 2011 - and came second in the KnockOut sprint in the second stage. Changed over first after the first leg of Tiomila 2008. Changed from Visborgs OK to OK Hällen ahead of 2009-season. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of the year in 2009 for her incredible breakthrough this year with the World Championships’ silver and the World Games bronze. Also: winning the Nordic Championships’ relay.

Info/BiographyBig Swedish orienteering star who had her big breakthrough as a senior with two gold medals at NOC 2007, and a relay silver in WOC 2007. Took the bronze medal at the sprint in Olomouc in Czech Republic in 2008, and continued all the way up to the top of the ladder with gold medal at WOC sprint in 2010. Missed the gold medal at WOC 2010 - but was still very happy with a silver medal. Junior-star with six medals from 4 JWOC-years. Missed out on the individual medals in her last year as a junior, but took the step to senior class in impressive fashion being 8th and 11th at EOC 2006. Impressive orienteering technique, constantly improving her running with a tough training regime made by her coach Harri Viinimäki. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of the year in 2009 for her first World Championships’ gold medal at the sprint in Hungary after a great performance. Also: For doing something that no other elite runner has ever done before - winning all 5 days of O-Ringen. And winning the gold at the Nordic Championships and the opening stage of the World Cup. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of the year in 2008 for her WOC Breakthrough in 2008 with her first individual WOC-medal: Sprint Bronze. Also decided EOC Relay for Sweden.

Improved this to a victory in the KnockOut sprint in the second edition of the Nordic Tour in 2011. Finished 6th overall in the Nordic Orienteering Tour 2010.

Especially good in Nordic terrain, where he has been dominating the orienteering scene for long periods. Took the silver medal at the World Champs 2010 in Trondheim behind Carl Waaler Kaas - and also won a few World Cup races. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of 2009 for being the dominating orienteer in the spring season. Winning the Nordic Championships middle distance and relay, as well as winning as the World Cup middle distance in Norway. Also: taking bronze in the overall World Cup.

Info/BiographyThe big star of JWOC 2008 on home ground in Sweden, winning 3 gold medals and one silver medal - and was allowed to run World Cup for Sweden that year with still years left to run as a junior. Had to skip JWOC 2009 due to illness, but came back in 2010 taking silver over the long distance at JWOC. Overall third in O-Ringen 2010 in the senior class. Awarded the Ultimate Junior of 2008 after winning the silver medal at JWOC sprint, the gold medal at JWOC middle distance, the gold medal at JWOC long distance and the gold medal at JWOC relay in Gothenburg this year, and his participation as a junior in the World Cup 2008 program.
